At OGFashioncheck we sell pre-owned designer fashion. Every single piece is personally checked for authenticity by us – that is our promise to you.

For us, second hand does not mean compromising on quality. We know how important authenticity is when it comes to designer fashion. That is why we check every piece ourselves, in several steps, before it goes online. We are not an official or certified authentication service – the check is carried out by us as a retailer.

We are independent and not an authorised retailer of these brands.

Our guarantee to you

Should you have justified doubts about the authenticity of a product, contact us by email at info@ogfashioncheck.com within 14 days of receipt. We will then refund the full purchase price. To do this, you first send the item back to us at your own cost; if it is indeed not authentic, we will also refund the return shipping costs. Your statutory rights (withdrawal, warranty) remain unaffected.

Structure, codes and material details of the care label, as well as the size details.

Stitch density, workmanship and edges. Fakes can often be recognised by sloppy seams.

Embossings, logos, embroidery and zips. Position, size and quality must match the original.

Feel, weight and composition. Original designer fashion uses high-quality materials.

Condition

Signs of wear and flaws are graded – “Like new”, “Very good” or “Good” – and photographed. You will find the images on the respective product page.

How to spot fakes yourself

Warning signs of fakes

  • Sloppy seams: Uneven, loose or crooked seams
  • Poor logos: Blurred, asymmetrical or poorly embroidered logos
  • Inferior labels: Cheap-looking, poorly printed or crookedly attached labels
  • Unrealistically low prices: If a "new" designer piece is reduced by 90%, be careful
  • Wrong hardware: Cheap buttons, zips without brand embossing
  • Bad smell: A chemical smell often indicates inferior material
  • Spelling mistakes: Mistakes on labels or tags are a clear warning sign

We use this knowledge to check every product thoroughly. If we have doubts about authenticity, we do not add the product to our range.

Right of withdrawal

You can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt – that is what the law provides. In case of justified doubts about authenticity, our guarantee above also applies.
